“Nitesh Rane Questions Saif Ali Khan’s Stabbing Incident, Calls Actor ‘Garbage'”
Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane Sparks Controversy with Remarks on Saif Ali Khan Stabbing
Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nitesh Rane has stirred a controversy following his remarks about the recent stabbing incident involving Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. Rane, the BJP MLA from Kankavli, cast doubt on the authenticity of the attack, questioning whether Saif was genuinely injured or simply “acting.”
Speaking at a Hindu Mahotsav rally in Alandi on Thursday, Rane expressed skepticism over the incident in which Saif Ali Khan was stabbed during a robbery attempt at his Mumbai residence. “I saw when he came out of the hospital, I doubted whether he had been stabbed or he was acting. He was dancing while walking,” Rane was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
The BJP MLA also referred to Saif Ali Khan in derogatory terms, calling him “garbage” and suggesting that the actor’s injury was part of a larger narrative involving foreign nationals in Mumbai. “Look at what Bangladeshis are doing in Mumbai. They entered Saif Ali Khan’s house. Earlier they used to stand at the crossings of the roads, now they have started entering houses. Maybe he came to take him (Saif) away. It is good, garbage should be taken away,” Rane added.
The comments come in the wake of the stabbing of Saif Ali Khan by Bangladeshi immigrant Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, who allegedly attempted a robbery at the actor’s Bandra apartment in the early hours of January 16.
Rane’s controversial remarks have sparked backlash on social media and from various political and entertainment figures.
