Riddhima Sen On Mental Health
Mental health and physical health in coordination determine the overall health of an individual. Not only does a balanced diet matter, but a happy heart contributes significantly to a high quality of life. However, in a world full of complex relationship dynamics and a hard life, it is oftentimes way too difficult to take care of the heart. It is not at all your fault if you feel weak emotionally. It is extremely humane to ‘feel’. For, what are we humans without emotions? Mental health, if not taken note of, can lead to serious problems in the distant future. Issues like depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are quite frequent nowadays.
What can we do to deal with this dilemma? Although reading, writing, painting and listening to music can help at times, there must be a permanent and more effective solution, right? Counselling and therapy exist for the very same reason. However, when you can’t avail help, believing in your inner strength seems to be the only plausible option. It is absolutely believable how hard it might be at times to think that you are capable of achieving what you desire and dream of. However, fighting instead of choosing flight is a better option always.
