However, her canvas extends far beyond the realms of mathematics, as she finds solace and expression in the vibrant strokes of Jamini Art painting.

How has your background in mathematics influenced your approach to Jamini Art painting?
Ans Actual Mathematics actually has nothing to do with hardcore calculations. Mathematics is a different genre of art too. Mathematics doesnot merely means +, -, / ,*, it has a different world beyond it. We prefer calling ourselves “Homo Mathematicus” , as we Mathematicians have an inborn insanity and craving for art and literature. Yes, I repeat , typical science students are ardent lover of art and are highly romantic! And Jamini Sir’s art genre in itself calls for intense love for intricacy of our Indian Mythology and folk arts. So I personally feel the insanity associated as Mathematicus , in itself is conducive towards trying out the great Jamini Roy painting cult.
-
Could you share some insights into the themes or inspirations behind your co-authored books in English and Bengali literature?
Ans Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, and his literary works are purely my main source of inspiration, that I started writing poems since my school days. I feel blessed that I am born in India , which has the blessing of Gurudev Tagore through his immortal creations.

-
Can you elaborate on your journey with yoga and its impact on your personal and professional life?
Ans As mentioned , I am associated with Yoga for a long time. After my 10th boards , I discontinued my regular classes, but had practised it daily. During my masters in IIT Dhanbad, I had represented my university twice in inter year Yoga championship ,and bagged the winner’s both the time. During covid period, Mumbai had faced severe hardships in lockdown . I started taking voluntary sessions in Yoga and meditation in our local societies. In the year 2022, I wrote an article on “Peace and Meditation” and it got selected in Grace Ladies Global Academy, USA, with the title “My tireless journey towards Yoga and Tranquility” , and I was awarded honorary doctorate for this article , by them. It was such an inspiring event for me. And hence Yoga and fitness regime became a passion for me permanently.

Winning an award from the International Women’s Literature Council is a remarkable achievement. What does this recognition mean to you, and how do you plan to leverage it in your future endeavours?
Ans Winning awards is always a matter of inspiration, and getting a recognition from International Women’s Literature Council, is a source of huge motivation to me. I would definitely love to do more researches on Indian Folk art in future, and would love to try some contemporary styles by remixing Jamini Roy style with other genres of Indian Folk arts.
-
How do you see the intersection of literature and painting in your life, and how do they complement each other?
Ans It is indeed a blessing for me, that God has given me chance to explore both the sectors of Indian Fine Arts and Indian Literature. I am an ardent follower of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, whose name is enough to define how lucky I am , that my life is ruled by both these cults. Painting is nothing but the rhythm of my life in colours and shades. My poesy world is nothing but the strokes that life has painted for me, in the beautiful canvas of my journey in search of peace and tranquility.

Stay fit, have a healthy diet and take care of yourself first.
