Cankers and Roses – State Poem Exhibition by Riddhima Sen

Cankers and roses
On the wretched path,
There lay a thousand roses
As red as blood;
Or rather
The sun at dawn
The path led to
A dark forest
Filled with cankers
Sharp and shrill
Loud and bass,
Quite contrary to tranquil .
A portrait of juxtaposition
And irony
Of peace and distress
Of black and white.
