A voracious reader of mythology, science fiction, and thrillers, she also finds joy in singing, cooking, painting, storytelling, and exploring ancient Indian scriptures for their hidden scientific wisdom.
- Your debut novel reimagines Indian mythology through a scientific lens. What inspired you to take this approach?
Answer:
I grew up listening to my mother’s stories from the Hindu Mythology. But as I matured, I began to see patterns — concepts in these ancient stories mirrored modern scientific discoveries. That curiosity became my compass. I wanted to create a narrative that would inspire readers to question, explore, and see mythology not as a relic of the past, but as a coded science for the future.
2.Mirror-Verse Chronicles: Warriors of the East is the first of an 8-book series. Can you share a glimpse of the journey readers can expect across the series?
Answer:
Each book explores two of the 14 worlds described in Indian cosmology, paired with one cardinal or intercardinal direction. Readers will travel from celestial realms to shadowed dimensions, meeting seven protagonists whose fates intertwine without their knowledge — until the eighth book, when they unite for an ultimate battle that could redefine existence itself.
3.You have 15 years of experience in banking. How did your corporate background influence your storytelling?
Answer:
Banking taught me discipline, structure, and the art of decision-making under pressure — all of which fuel my plotting and character arcs. It also showed me the universality of human ambition, fear, and hope, whether in a conference room, or a battlefield, and that emotional truth threads through every story.
4.What was the biggest challenge you faced while blending science with mythology in your narrative?
Answer:
Maintaining balance. Too much science and you risk stripping away the magic; too much myth and the logic weakens. My challenge was to create a seamless weave where one validates the other, so readers feel awe without losing believability.
5.You’ve created engaging social media content to connect younger audiences with mythology. How important do you think digital platforms are for authors today?
Answer:
They’re essential. Digital spaces are where curiosity sparks today — a reel, a post, a live session can lead a reader to pick up your book. For me, it’s also about building a community that doesn’t just consume stories but participates in them.
6.Indian mythology is vast and layered. How do you conduct your research to ensure authenticity in your work?
Answer:
I treat research like a pilgrimage — studying multiple versions of the same legend, reading translations of ancient texts, and consulting scholars when needed. Authenticity isn’t just about accuracy; it’s about respect for the cultural and spiritual roots of the material.
7.Finally, what message do you hope readers will take away from Mirror-Verse Chronicles?
Answer:
That the past holds the keys to the future. If we learn to decode the wisdom in our myths, we might not just rediscover our heritage — we might uncover the science that can shape humanity’s next leap forward.
