The recent news update regarding almost seven hundred students being identified as HIV positive has caused quite an upstir throughout the nation. While the agency itself denied any existence of such rumors, the primary question still remains – what might be the root cause behind such an upsurge in HIV patients throughout the nation. As per data and statistics accumulated over the past few years, numerous citizens in Karnataka have lived with the disease recently. However, the very claim on the part of the agency that it was a general test and the results could not be easily stratified into students, married, unmarried or any other category as such.
The primary causes of HIV are not solely restricted to sexual interactions. The virus can spread through contamination, and other various sources like infected syringes as well. If there is any truth in the claim on various social media platforms and media sources, the bulk of individuals, especially students getting affected, obviously indicates towards something highly suspicious. The public response to such epidemic like outbreaks is quite understandable. The panic and fear that is being created in highly stressful and unwanted in nature. The truth might already have been exposed partially, or either more is left to be revealed.
