Trapped Emotions by Riddhima Sen
Trapped emotions are a significant part of our psyche. They are seldom expressed, since they are highly complex and private in nature. However, they can be expressed in poetry. Poetry is superfluous in nature. The words flow out almost naturally like it is a part of nature. Rhythm is a part of mundane things on a daily basis. But, do we take a look at those intricacies often? We don’t. Mundanity is also special in nature, even though it is often underlined. Feelings of pain and anxiety are often not visible in public eyes. Living each moment freely is truly living fully.
While growing up, our understanding of the world starts to develop. This evolution is truly gut wrenching and eye opening at the same point of time. We see more of the crudities of the world. While it breaks our heart at the same point of time, it also makes us mature as human beings. Adulting is maturing willfully or against the will. Growing up is not just merely ageing, it is more of a direct experience – crude reality is just one face of the truth of the world. However, there are other facets to it as well.
