THE COUNTRY –THAT COULD HAVE BEEN (From a lover)
Our country is filled with resources; let us ask the people living there about their views, qualms, and feelings, for people are the most valuable and efficient resource a country can have; besides, the fact is “we are embodied with a billion”.
However, I like to start with the category of people whom our country has forgotten, if not forsaken.
This category consists of beggars, child labourers, and also bonded labourers, for they go through hell every minute. In contrast, other people live their life either oblivious or they entertain the phenomenon of acceptance. Now, perhaps on every Independence Day they may entertain a feeling that in the next independence they can have a three-course meal and a new dress, something that the crème of the society take for granted.
Now, a lot of stories can be told about a person’s interlude with money.
For there is the middle class who wants to rise up in life, having dreams and aspirations, but he falls prey to the ideas of quick money, and at times he becomes a tool that the rich exploit. However, he travels in life, having a heavy burden on his shoulders and with the same aspirations. Now, the fact is he travels with an undaunting spirit, believing he will somehow make it and become rich. Now, for many in his criteria, Independence Day is just another day, while some even believe that day could have been productive.
Money in our country matters a lot, so people adopt brazen and untold laws that insist it is no wrong to indulge in unethical practices to realise money, and at times even breaking the trust assigned for money happens, thus marching selfish is not a phrase in the English grammar, for in our country it is embodied in the living of people. Now, the fact is I am not able to understand how a human who was very rich in compassion became someone with a cold heart.
Now, the rich use that day to meet friends, and in the evening they may entertain their family in restaurants. Some of them have thoughts to settle abroad; for they feel our country is a garbage dump.
Now, the fact is that all the people of our country may have different views and perceptions, but the worst thing is that all the views deliver one fact: that is, our country is of no good.
We may have gained independence, but we did not use it properly, and there is also a strange fact that is “each person do know their role to make our country progress”. Thus, it can be summarised that answers are present in broad daylight, but it is not implemented by our people.
