Rape Culture Still Existing

Rape refers to the act of sexual violation of an individual, against his or her own will. It is absolutely regardless of gender. The recent case of R G Kar, where a female doctor was raped by a group of men, and the case is still facing the undercurrent. The culprits are not even unknown, yet no steps are being taken for the same reason that was given in the Bilkis Bano rape case. If the perpetrator belongs to an upper caste, then their crime automatically gets nullified. In a particular scenario, the judge of the Supreme Court said that the victim should marry her perpetrator, who was responsible for giving her trauma and PTSD. Here the perpetrators were associated with the Trinamool Congress Party. Alongside this, victim blaming is also a very common facet. The principal of the institution himself was found to be associated with a massive sex and organ trafficking racket. This issue had been hidden from public eyes before. The evidence in the seminar room was wiped off extremely soon as well. The severe attempts to make people believe that the case is being solved is just a mere facade. A mere facade is an empty promise. The case of the fourteen-year-old dalit girl in UP is another prime example of caste crimes. Caste was the main facet of this case.
