Counselling refers to therapy. The art of medical health discipline which can effectively treat mental illness, improve mood, and promote well-being, while reducing costs productively. Counseling is really quintessential for human brain. The human mind is always subject to change. The mind is subject to change in every twenty-one days, as per certain sources. The stabilization of the mind has a direct consequence upon the career and lifestyle of an individual. A stable mindset can ensure smooth functioning of both the aspects- personal and private- side by side, together. Maintaining a positive outlook for twenty-one days can have a massive impact on one’s psyche.

On the contrary, manifesting negative thoughts for twenty-one continuous days can adversely deteriorate one’s self-belief and esteem. Understanding psychology is crucial for the human brain, and that to a great extent. Overthinking should never be the main perspective. One can also belong from an environment, which is not at all conducive for positive thoughts to flow. An anxious style of attachment since childhood can lead an individual to grow up with a negative approach towards life, amidst great magnitudes of doubt and fear. Self-doubt can manifest itself into a larger form as time passes by, especially when an individual is on the verge of a fruitful career.

However, there are certain misconceptions about counseling. In majority of the Indian households, counseling is perceived from a very derogatory perspective. An individual who seeks for counseling or therapy is oftentimes, viewed as the one with regular fits of mental illness. But the real truth is the fact that counseling is for each and every individual, who needs mental support at a certain point of time in life. We all need good listeners in life. Counseling helps people rewire their brains , in addition to helping them rediscover themselves amidst hopelessness .
