Beyond Knowledge: The Wisdom Within — A Poetic Reflection by Wasim Azam
The Half-Light of the Mind
Around us now, the voices rise,
Speaking of scriptures and the skies.
They talk of Rama, of Law, of Grace,
With a scholar’s tongue and a parrot’s face.
But knowledge unripened is a bitter fruit,
A hollow tree with a shallow root.
For what is a word if it lacks a soul?
A fragment trying to be the whole.
Half-baked wisdom is a poisonous breath,
It mimics life while inviting death.
True knowledge must like food be used—
Not just swallowed, but infused.
The Alchemy of Character
Let your learning sink deep within,
Beyond the surface, beneath the skin.
For even the wicked know thou shalt not steal,
Yet they lack the heart to make it real.
They know the truth but walk the lie,
While the light of their spirit begins to die.
Look to the stars, the sun, the moon,
They do not falter, they stay in tune.
So too the values of ancient lore,
Are eternal anchors on a shifting shore.
Do not believe the worldly cry,
That greatness is built on a clever lie.
The True Path
To walk the path of the pure and right,
Is to turn your knowledge into light.
Let wisdom ripen, let character grow,
For only the seeds you digest will show.
Greatness is found not in what you say,
But in the footprints you leave on the way.
