Diving Deeper into the Field of Literature with Riddhima Sen

We are glad to introduce Riddhima Sen who has not only written several books at a very tender age , but also played a major role in several media conferences . Q1) Who is your favourite Author and when did you first have interest in the field of Literature ?

Ans – My favourite author is Ruskin Bond . I first had interest in the field of Literature when l was around 6 years old , and l loved reading storybooks at that age . I even wrote stories , just for practice.
Q2) What are the languages you like to read in ? If you read any regional languages ,do you feel that the meaning gets lost in the translation.

Ans – l read English, Hindi and Bengali books . While reading translated books , especially the Feluda books translated by Penguin , the essence of the books felt lost .
INTERVIEWER: Exactly even as readers , we felt it that either Authors who translated it were not that efficient with the Language and also Original composition has a different level of captivating the audience.
Q3) Apart from being a writer , you are a painter too. Do you feel that being artistic has any advantage for an Author ?

Ans- Writing is an art as well . I personally feel that being artistic has advantages for an Author.
Q4) In India , it is generally a very competitive market for the Authors. What kind of stories do you think they should bring in to sustain in the market ?
Ans – They should focus on the kind of content their target audience would love to read the most .
Q5) Do you enjoy Literature events ? What about Literature events do you like the most ?
Ans – Yes , l do enjoy literary events . The interaction between authors seems the most intriguing to me .
