CONTRADICTIONS by Pranav Sarna
CONTRADICTIONS
Life, a trail not for the frail
Let me sail and my mind fail
amidst my emotions locked in heart’s jail…
Time, the ultimate healer,
an epitome of life
and death’s dealer…
Birth, a discreet choice
for moments of celebration
and memories of rejoice…
Death, a sorrowful rue
passed on early to one
who’s karma is past due…
Marriage, a lifetime promise
of giving yourself to someone
at the cost of yourself to miss…
Divorce, the brutal separation
of an incomplete relation
with constant aggression…
Childhood, an era of dependence
with an open mind to condense
and an innocence so dense…
Adulthood, a sense of being responsible
whilst being visible and audible
to the society that finds you capable…
Good, an assumption of acceptance
with a sheer act of harshness
opening the doors to negligence…
Bad, an assumption of negligence
and not a sheer act of kindness
will open the doors to acceptance…
