Ans :Unorganized sketches and greetings card making used to be my favourite passtime since my childhood. But I donot have any formal training in Fine Arts. I started my hardcore painting regime during my hostel episode at IIT Dhanbad, where I developed my interest in Indian folk art genre for the first time.

Q2) How did you come to know about this form of Art and about Jamini Roy ?
Ans Like I said, in my hostel , I started hovering through various Indian Folk art forms in the Internet , and developed interest in Jamini Roy genre, Warli art genre, Maithili art gere and Indian Pottery painting ideas. So nothing was planned as such, it was a matter of pure incidence.

Q3) As you are someone who is quite a natural talent and has earnt all by herself , can you tell us how much time goes behind this Art ?
Ans My viewers will certify that 🙂, not me. Any painting calls for patience and time, definitely , our Indian folk art forms are so rich in culture , exploring this huge ocean of ideas will definitely take a lifetime.Every minute details of the artforms are so intricate, that learning them in details will take a long time, there is no shortcut possible.

Q4) In your busy life do you now get , time to devote towards art?
Ans I generally try to explore these artforms in my weekends.

Q5) Art also helps to express emotions . Has art helped you in that Criterion?
Ans Art is a profound way to express emotions, transcending spoken language. Whether through painting, music, dance, or sculpture, art channels complex feelings into tangible forms. It enables artists to communicate joy, sorrow, anger, or hope, offering a safe space for self-reflection and connection with others who resonate with the emotions portrayed.
And for me Indian fine arts and folk arts have been a boon to my deserted life here in the busy lifestyle in Mumbai. It helped in composing my turbulent mindset. I am thankful to the Almighty God, for giving me the opportunity to explore these lovely artforms.
