- Congratulations on winning the Top 11 Personalities award! What does this recognition mean to you personally and professionally?
Answer:I am grateful to the ALmighty God and to your entire team for giving this opportunity to me . Personally and professionally, I feel elevated and highly motivated. I promise myself to continue with my work for the betterment of the society.

2.Your work often explores complex cultural and national themes. What inspires you to tackle these subjects, and how do you approach writing about them?
Answer: I have been an ardent lover of Indian Folk art, and our country is so rich in its diversity in culture, Literature and art, I feel mesmerized everytime I explore these varied artforms. I love travelling, and I love to explore the geography , artforms, dance forms, local cuisine of any place, and that inspires me a lot to pen them, for documentation purpose, as most of us are unaware of the rich heritage of our own country. I feel so blessed that I am one of the “Bharat ki Beti” 🙂

3.Can you share a specific moment or experience in your career that significantly influenced your writing style or perspective?
Answer:I started writing when I was in class 6. But those articles were always noted in a hidden diary , completely unpublished. In the year 2017, as I reached Mumbai for my service posting , I was shattered by loneliness in this city. Since I am a small town girl (from Hindmotor, West Bengal) and I belong to a joint family, my initial days in Mumbai were not very easy. I could not cope up with the high cost of living here, even with a steady government service. As everybody knows, Mumbai is famous for its high rental cost, I literally had to struggle a lot in those initial days. I even had four meals within 100/- and had to sleep with half filled hunger. So, out of sheer feeling of loneliness and hunger, my writing strategy got a boost, and I started writing on realistic topics with which my readers will be able to identify themselves. Thanks to them for loving my poems and write ups. Readers are the king here!

4.How do you balance the need for cultural sensitivity with the desire to provoke thought and discussion in your readers?
Answer:I always try to write on basic rudimentary topics , be it on environment or on Indian culture or festivities. In this rat race age , amidst high level technological ambiance , I always try to keep the essence of simplicity in my write ups, so that my readers get that “mitti ki khushbu” in my lines.

5.What challenges have you faced as a writer dealing with national and cultural topics, and how have you overcome them?
While writing on national and cultural topics , I need to write on a measured scale , so that no details are missed. Our country is so rich and so diverse in culture, geography, sports, artforms and history, that writing on any topic calls for a thorough research of that genre. Therefore, I always try to gather and note down my real time experiences for a particular place or experience, so that while preparing my manuscripts , I should not miss the intricate details of that topic.
I am blessed that my readers and my publishing teams support me in every situation. I am thankful again to your team for always inspiring me in writing and focussing on the roots of our Indian culture and heritage.
