Rabindranath Tagore is one of the country’s most famous poets, novelists and philosophers. His poems and songs still have a very big impact on the society, and on a deeper level as well. The deep philosophy often reveals the path to live life perfectly as well, during hard times. Humanity has already seen two massive and large-scale World Wars, and in the current moment, a war situation might be brewing in India too. War brings forth only destruction and devastation, and profit to businessmen and the rich, and the two world wars have given enough evidence of this fact.
The topics of his novel, Chokher Baali, deals with the facet of feminine jealousy and the human psyche as a whole. From talking about unrequited love poems to songs brimming with love and affection, his poetry is indeed something which compels us to reflect upon the reality of humanity – the crude, rougher face of the very same coin, which, apparently is shining as bright as the stars. Tagore’s literary style , however , faced a lot of criticism which gave rise to the Kallol magazine , and Rabindra-parabarti poets , notable among them being Buddhadeb Basu .
