THE PULL OF NEGATIVISM By Raja Mannar

The fact is
Events that happen in the world
Are a measure
That can be used to gauge
The progress of humanity
Now we were savages long ago
And from there
We have progressed to this level
Of living civilised
Thus, that indicates high progress
However
The presence of peace
In the life we live these days
Is something very little
This is a strange quirk in the system
For it may be that
Events no longer shape our pattern of living
As life is set under siege by a phenomenon
That can be coined as “Pull of negativism”
As for some reason
People have started to find negativity
In every turn
And at times, even good happenings
Are skewed and perceived negatively
Beyond all
This phenomenon compels people
To converse only about negativities
And this lifestyle
Is found to be common and also normal
But people do not realise
That these actions usher in doom
Thus, we got to alter course
Away from this pull of negativity
Therefore, it is wise
If we challenge the ideology of today’s living
For it is preaching “Virtue is foolishness”
And we should change it
To an ideology that says “good begets good”
Thus, by this, we are directing progress to a better world
Where positivity will be present in abundance
Therefore
We can restart the process
Of becoming better humans
